“Public Engagement” means all non-profit activities with educational, cultural and social development value. The activities and benefits of higher education and research can be communicated and shared with the public in a number of ways, including but not limited to:

As regards Public Engagement, the activities of the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences are in the direction pursued by the University of Bergamo with regard to “grafting knowledge into society to foster its civil, cultural, social and economic development”, creating knowledge-based value within the framework of a process that activates “a creative and productive use of knowledge”, attentive to the relationship between resources and society.
Numerous DISA lecturers carry out public engagement activities through direct interaction with local institutions and civil society, for the purpose of enhancing knowledge and promoting socio-cultural activities.
