On February 10, 2026, the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences of the University of Bergamo will host a visiting lecture entitled “Introduction to Agent-Based Simulation in NetLogo”, held by Prof. Gabriel Wurzer from Technische Universität Wien (TU Wien).

The workshop will introduce the fundamentals of agent-based simulation and its applications to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) field. 

Prof. Gabriel Wurzer
Researcher at the Vienna University of Technology in Austria, focusing on architectural science, agent-based simulation in Netlogo and programming for architects. Furthermore, He is a supporter of the CAAD community with ProceeDings, a self-written publication tool for producing conference proceedings. Before going into full-time research, he has also been working on the Electronic Health Record of Lower Austria (NÖ-ELGA) and has been in Healthcare IT. Master’s degree in computer science (Dipl.-Ing.), PhD in Architecture from Vienna UT, where he has also habilitated on the Subject of "Agent-Based Simulation for Early-Phase Planning of Complex Buildings".
